Archive films, documentaries, music-video collaborations and an unfinished project.
A section for Peter Poole's moving-image work, bringing together embedded archive films where they survive, later digital documentaries and music-video collaborations, and a note on the longer project that remained unrealised.
Content in this section will continue to be added as more material is digitised.
Featured film
DOMINATOR VIRUS - Gorillas
A campaigning song video on rainforest destruction and wildlife loss, built from zoo footage, travel shots and model imagery.
Peter's film practice began with Super 8 work in the late 1980s and later expanded into drama, documentary, campaign films, artist-process pieces and music-video collaborations alongside painting, writing, comics and design.
Selected films were later digitised through Screen Archive South East and resurfaced on the Cineminiatures channel, while later digital shorts also reached outlets such as Latest TV and BBC Radio Devon.
This section gathers the currently linkable moving-image archive in one place, including recorded dramatic work that also belongs to Peter's writing life, while still noting major works that are not available online.

Unrealised project
Stray Machines
An unfinished long-form science-fiction project that remained important to Peter and survives here through its documented development and one completed extra.
2004-2026Unfinished feature project
Originally entitled Scavengers, the project was later renamed Stray Machines after Peter discovered another independent science-fiction film using the earlier title.
The film grew from ideas first explored in 1987, reusing long-kept models, props and sets before the main live-action material was completed in spring 2008.
Most footage was shot, but some miniature effects and animation were still required, leaving the film unfinished.
His brother Martin hopes one day to edit the existing footage together as a homage to the unrealised project.
A ten-minute extra assembled from spacecraft-set material, in which a salvage team restores power in a deserted craft and activates a servo robot to demonstrate the controls.
Later digital documentaries, campaign films and artist-process pieces.
These later documentaries and artist films track public events, local campaigns and the making of sculpture commissions across Brighton, Hove and Devon.
