Across more than a decade Peter contributed commissioned works to major Wild in Art and related sculpture trails, helping transform public spaces into open-air galleries while supporting charitable fundraising and community engagement.

Context
Wild in Art describes its events as meaningful public art trails that connect artists, charities, businesses and communities. That context suits Peter Poole's trail work especially well: these projects placed his visual imagination in public view and linked it to wider civic and charitable activity.
Peter's trail work reached from Devon and Brighton to Croydon, Southend, Ipswich, Worcester and Bournemouth, showing both the range and continuity of his public art.
Taken together, these commissions form a long-running body of public-facing work rather than a handful of isolated projects.

Upcoming 2026 trail
Peter's design, Lazy Cats, was selected for Wild in Art's upcoming Story Trail in Brighton & Hove. Sadly, his sudden passing in March 2026 means he will not be able to progress the project.
Wild in Art describes The Story Trail as Brighton & Hove's first storybook art trail, arriving in autumn 2026.
The event is planned as a city-wide BookBench trail organised in partnership with Amaze, the Sussex charity that supports families with disabled children.
